How to set up the game

Really simple, empty the box and give each player one colour of Cats and Kittens. Then flip the box over and add the padded mattress to the top of the “bed”.

What is Boop?

You are a cluster of cats looking to control the bed. Only one snag, you're not the only cats.

This is a 1 V 1 competitive game which takes elements of Noughts and Crosses and adds the chaos of cats bouncing on a bed.

How to win

The goal of Boop is to line all your cats up in a row. Literally. You need to line 3 Cats in a row to win.

So you're probably wondering “How do I do that when they are bouncing all over the bed?”.

How to play

Simply by taking it in turns to hop your cats and kittens onto the bed and planning for how they might move around.

For in this game, when a kitten or cat is placed on the bed, it bounces all adjacent cats and kittens 1 Square in that direction.

E.g.1. If a cat is diagonally adjacent it moves 1 diagonally.

E.g.2. If a kitten is orthogonally adjacent it moves 1 orthogonally.

This sometimes results in your cats or kittens bouncing off the bed, which makes you feel elated or vexed depending on your strategy.

However, when two or more cats and/or kittens are in that direction of travel, they don't move.

This is all for the good, as you need to harness this to get you cats lined up in a row.

However, you don't start with your cats. You only start with Kittens. They have to lounge around on a bed in a rows of 3 before they transform into cats.

When you get 3 kittens in a row you remove 1 from play and gain a cat.

So yes, it means you need to line at least 3 sets of kittens in a row before you have enough cats to even consider winning.

Careful of the other felines, they might pinch your spot or bounce you off the bed.

Over all this game is a bit of light hearted fun that can be rattled off in 20 minutes.
