How to make the 40 year old Virgin into a board game

Every time I watch this film I forget how hilarious it actually is. For those of you who haven't seen it, you have homework to do first. Suitable hilarious Noughties comedy with many many jokes about how to “get laid”!

If you are a huge fan of Steve Carell and Paul Rudd doing comedies in “the springtime of their youth” (Naruto Reference) than you're in for a huge treat.

As you have most likely guessed from the title it is about a 40 year old Virgin trying to get his leg over and learning hints and tips from many and under qualified friend along the way. So…

Where to start?

Well… each player has to be a character who is rapidly approaching 40 and is still a virgin, and they're all trying to see who can do it first. It would almost be an Old Age Pensioners’ American Pie plot. The alternative I'd you're all in competition with each other to give advice to the 40 year old friend trying to get them laid. There's too many choices, but I like the second one more.

I imagine that if a player is trying to help their friend then they're need a little black book of skills that they can use to do so. To help teach Rizz, Allure and Charm.

So maybe in this situation every player gets a starting hand of cards which they're trying to play to help the Virgin get laid. Thereafter they're trying to acquire new skills and techniques to impart their knowledge.

The winner? That's got to be the friend who gives enough good advice to get Sex for their friend first.

The winner then has bragging rights and must get high fived by other players.

But as with all “Techniques” to get people into bed, many will have drawbacks and unintended consequences, especially in a highly competitive game where other players can commit sabotage - of course this game has to have sabotage otherwise how would players maintain their street cred of being the love guru?

Because it would be a take that card game with combos and sabotage, you don't really want it to go on and on and on. So I reckon you'd probably want it to last 30 minutes or less.

I would also reckon that it has to be simple and straightforward enough for mainstream audiences who watch it regularly to understand so nothing too complex. The teach would have to be 10 minutes or less for non board game players.

Anyway I could ramble on for England about this but I have work to continue doing making my Sealed Orders Board Game a reality.

Thanks for reading and happy Valentines Day.
