Wordango

The first game we ever produced and sold at market.

This is our proof of concept that games can be produced and manufactured in the UK.

The humble beginnings of Wordango came about when I was designing and hosting the Extremely Dastardly Quiz.

The idea was that a Word Bingo round where many answers could be correct was the goal, so that I could see what cool and crazy ideas people would come up with.

After testing this idea out, it developed into Wordango, where rather than players waiting for individual letters to come out (Like in bingo) the speed quickened with cards displaying 6 letters.

Then after playing over 200 full games it started to develop its full design as an exciting word game which can be played by spellers and non spellers - a game designed for people like me.

Those who love to find and explore new places. The ones who like to converse about all kinds of wonderful and at times crazy ideas. People who love to socialise with others without having to dominate the conversation. The ability to ice break without making others feel stupid or out of place.

Something that's quick to learn, teach and not be too taxing on those playing.

Over the next few months we're excited to announce it's getting tested in schools to see how well it engages students in all manner of categories AND we're going to discover how suitable it is as a revision tool for students to engage with their parents at home about the different subjects!

We're also excited that we are working on a version that is dyslexic friendly and we've already started testing it.
